Oakes Recruitment Limited is acting as a Recruitment Agency for our client and we are currently looking for Manufacturing Operative in a National prestigious Business based in Lowestoft

Duties and Responsibilities

Operate (be trained/coached where appropriate) on the use of bending machines, swaging, multi-head punches, drilling machinery and hydraulic presses with an aim to develop proto-types/specials for long-term manufacture

Understand and work effectively with steel & aluminium processes

* Follow manufacturing processes to drawings and complete job cards accurately until work is completed

* Good understanding of engineering Drawings and able to use the information effectively within the role

* Good awareness, understanding and take responsibility for department Health & Safety issues, ensuring adherence to Health & Safety policy at all times

* Take part in new product design meetings and put forward own ideas/suggestions

* Train or coach others on-the-job to develop manufacturing capability

* Develop a good knowledge and understanding of Harrod products

* Participate/contribute new ideas in all continuous improvements’ projects/meetings

* Work with other teams across the business to effectively to deliver manufacturing objectives

To support this exciting growth and development of our Motorsport at events we are looking for a Technician to join our team to ensure the cars are prepared to the highest standard and run faultlessly whilst on events.

ESSENTIAL PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE WITH A RACE TEAM, AND HAVE DRIVEN IN EUROPE

Purpose of the role:

As a Motorsport Garage Technician, you will be working as part of a team providing a crucial service for our series events.

Principal accountability’s:

  • Work alongside the mechanical team to ensure vehicles are fit for purpose and suitably presented

  • Work with the wider Technician team to continually develop processes both at headquarters and whilst on events

  • Responsible for the build and preparation of car support equipment

  • Event set up support which may include event preparation garage builds and hospitality set up for all event programs

  • Tyre pressure checks, vehicle valeting and wash panels and tyres

  • Technically communicate to customers and answer any service or specific technical questions as required

  • Driving the HGV Vehicle to sites across Europe, unloading and loading vehicles to set standards

Knowledge, skills & experience:

  • Experience of delivering quality components to extremely tight and demanding deadlines with conflicting priorities

  • Previous experience of working in a motorsport environment

Oakes Recruitment are currently recruiting a welder for a reputable company in the Lowestoft area.

The Ideal candidate will be MIG and TIG qualified and have experience in aluminium welding. Although experience in these is essential, the role is ideal for college leavers who are looking for a rewarding job that will provide many opportunities. Experience in a working environment, preferably one such as this, is required as a strong work ethic is essential. All applicants will be given a weld test to ensure the right candidate is employed.

Everyday roles will include fabricating mechanical structures and parts with a great deal of precision in order to ensure excellent product quality and customer satisfaction.

Team work is imperative; the successful candidate will need to be a team player, working with other people to guarantee that the work gets completed, efficiently and to a high standard. The successful candidate must have access to their own transport or live locally as public transport is not suitable. The position is a Temporary to Permanent contract for the successful candidate.
