Oakes Recruitment Limited is acting as a Recruitment Agency for our client and we are currently looking for a qualified and experienced Motor Garage Technician with a full Class 1 Driver Licence:

To support this exciting growth and development of our Motorsport at events we are looking for a Technician to join our team to ensure the cars are prepared to the highest standard and run faultlessly whilst on events.

ESSENTIAL PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE WITH A RACE TEAM, AND HAVE DRIVEN IN EUROPE

Purpose of the role:

As a Motorsport Garage Technician, you will be working as part of a team providing a crucial service for our series events.

Principal accountability’s:

  • Work alongside the mechanical team to ensure vehicles are fit for purpose and suitably presented

  • Work with the wider Technician team to continually develop processes both at headquarters and whilst on events

  • Responsible for the build and preparation of car support equipment

  • Event set up support which may include event preparation garage builds and hospitality set up for all event programs

  • Tyre pressure checks, vehicle valeting and wash panels and tyres

  • Technically communicate to customers and answer any service or specific technical questions as required

  • Driving the HGV Vehicle to sites across Europe, unloading and loading vehicles to set standards

Knowledge, skills & experience:

  • Experience of delivering quality components to extremely tight and demanding deadlines with conflicting priorities

  • Previous experience of working in a motorsport environment

  • Essential to have held Class 1 Licence for minimum of two year and have 180 days driving in the last two years

  • You must have a passport and experience in driving in Europe

  • Immediate Start for the right person

  • You will be required to complete Drivers Check and attending full Driver Competencies tests and induction.

Oakes Recruitment Limited are acting as a Recruitment Agency for our client and we are currently looking for a qualified and experienced Office Administrator for Maternity Cover on behalf of a prestigious and dynamic motorsport company based in Silverstone. This will be up to a 12-month contract depending on the successful candidate’s availability to start.

A successful candidate will have experience in a demanding but rewarding environment such as the motorsport industry and have the proactive and responsible attitude imperative for a high-level Office Administrator.

The Candidates main responsibility will be ensuring the smooth running of all front of house activities, dealing with incoming post, deliveries, phone calls etc. Ensuring parcels are shipped out in a timely manner. There will also be some travel organisation required, however there is support for this function should it be required.

Other roles include but aren’t limited to, checking the expenses of staff when needed, organising the ordering of team necessities such as clothing, stationary and cleaning supplies. Communicating with all departments within the company and assisting new members of the team along with supporting those that are long standing members of the team. Travel Coordinator and office Administration

The Candidates main responsibility will be organising the travel for a specific race series alongside assisting with general day to day office administration.

Roles include but aren’t limited to, booking flights, airport transfers and hotels for team members, ensuring accurate expense figures are submitted for payroll, booking parcels on for collection and assisting with ad-hoc admin tasks within the existing administration team.

The ideal candidate would be able to communicate well across all departments within the company and would be comfortable assisting both new and long standing members of the team as well as providing administrative support to the Management team.

The successful candidate will be an all-round helper, that is an integral part of making sure that everything runs effectively and smoothly. A professional and polite manner is essential as you will be working with clients on behalf of the team, often acting as an intermediary between the two.

A full, valid passport is requirement as the role will involve extensive travelling.
