The Ideal Candidate will be meticulous and able to ensure that the products manufactured by the company meet industry and legal standards. Experience in CMM (coordinate Measuring Machine) operating and programming is advantageous. Carrying out Goods in and Goods out inspections for all component parts entering the company, to ensure compliance to design specifications. Able to spot non-conformance and identify the root cause, corrective and preventative measures, then communicate with the relevant departments to resolve the issue. Confidence and experience in undertaking Quality Control testing of products manufactured on site and supplying non-conformance reports. Assisting in accurately collecting and inputting data when required. Also, potentially, assisting with Quality audits.

The ideal candidate will have experience in using hand held measuring equipment.

Good verbal and written communication is imperative in order to liaise with other departments and produce relevant reports when required.

Previous experience in a similar role and relevant qualifications is essential. And

assisting in collection and input of data. Striving for continuous product improvement. Recognised Mechanical engineering qualifications.

Oakes Recruitment Limited is acting as an Recruitment Agency for our client and we are currently looking an Operations and Maintenance Engineer for the following role:

Operations and Maintenance engineer to join a team responsible for the safe efficient running of our anaerobic digestate Biogas plants. You will work as part of a small team of O&M engineers working across at several plants on a shift pattern basis of 4 days on 4 days off.

Your duties shall include, but not be limited to, the day to day operation and maintenance of the plant. You shall be required to respond quickly to machine and systems failures in a safe and efficient manner as well as to investigate and resolve the cause of faults to minimise plant downtime. Accurate recording of tasks, faults and any plant system failure is essential. The monitoring of IT control systems, which shall include out of hours monitoring when on call, shall be a a key part of the role. Good housekeeping, a safe method of working and good task execution is essential to ensure the plants are kept clean, safe and operating in line with current legislation. 

Required:

Trade qualification – Mechanical or Electrical

Full UK driving licence

Ability to plan and prioritise varied tasks.

Knowledge of SCADA control systems an advantage

Good numerical, analytical and diagnostic skills.

Computer literate

Maintenance experience preferred

Site Maintenance Person

To provide efficient and effective upkeep and maintenance of site (Industrial and office) facility including ensuring the security and general appearance of the buildings and surrounding areas are maintained in accordance with the required standards.

Hours of work: 40 hours per week, Standard hours 08:30 : 17:30, however some flexibility to work outside of standard hours on an occasional basis to complete certain activities.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

To observe safe working practices in carrying out the required duties and ensure that instructions specified by technical consultants, contractors and manufacturers are adhered to.
To ensure heating plant and equipment is efficiently and effectively operated, adjust as necessary and reports defects and malfunctions to the appropriate person.
Arrange to clear blockages from sinks, toilets, drains, kitchen grease traps etc. and clean up spillages as required.
Ensure that gutters, gullies, drains etc. are checked regularly and kept free from debris and that the building and grounds are litter free.
Organise emptying Interceptors and take /record samples as required.
Dispose of waste materials in a safe manner adhering to waste disposal guidelines.
To undertake porterage tasks as required including setting up and clearing away furniture.
To undertake maintenance and light repair duties as outlined below (but not limited to):
Painting and Decorating (internal and external including line painting etc)
Basic joinery- First line maintenance of fixtures and fittings, examples: tightening screws on window hinges, maintenance on door handles, installing signs, minor repairs.
Plumbing- un-blocking sinks, traps and waste pipes. Adjustment and re- washering of taps.
To monitor stock levels of consumable items such as fuel, grit, toiletries, light bulbs/tubes and arrange to replenish supplies in accordance with current procedures.
To maintain appropriate records including intruder alarm logbook, repair orders, and heating system records book, carry out meter readings for the buildings.
To attend to, where necessary, personnel visiting the site such as contractors.
To carry out grass cutting/weed control on site and some grounds maintenance.
Carry out weekly fire alarm tests, and assist with evacuation procedures. Organise maintenance or alarm/ security systems and keep keyholder lists updated.
Keep company vehicles clean and in a road-worthy condition.
General tidying/ housekeeping around the facility.
To carry out any other reasonable duties within the overall function of the job and emergency tasks such as high tide preparations and clearing snow/ ice to keep the area safe etc.
Support to the Supply Chain Manager for facilities Management.
