Oakes Recruitment is working with a fantastic business in Lowestoft who are looking for another person to join their team, as a Finance and Business Support Asssistant.

You will have previous expereince and Ideally the AAT qualification.

Your duties and responsiblities will include

To have an extensive knowledge of the company, its aims, objectives and its strategic direction

Recording receipts and payments

Processing Sales Invoices and Purchase Invoices

Answers questions and provide assistance to stakeholders, customers, and suppliers as required

Credit Control and processing sales remittances

Credit Account application process for new customer accounts

To record office expenditure and manage costs, petty cash

Collating and processing expenses claims

Bank reconciliations

Collect and enter data for various financial spreadsheets

Assist the financial Controller in creating financial reports as required

Adhere to the company’s or organisation’s financial policies and procedures

To answer telephone enquiries, take messages and redirect telephone enquiries as required

Liaise with the factory and client regarding replacements for damaged / missing items and adjust stock

Use a range of office software and company ERP system, to ensure the efficient running of the Business Support Team, manage data and produce documents and presentations

Skills and Attributes

* Commercial awareness, with an understanding in business and how an organisation works and manages resources

* A high level of numeracy

* Ability to explain complex financial information in a clear way and to prepare clear, informative reports for management

* Diligent and meticulous

* Excellent organisational and time management skills * Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and other commonly used office packages

* Strong IT and typing skills

* The ability to prioritise tasks and work well under pressure

* Good teamworking skills and the ability to manage your own workload

* Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills

Our client, a leading company in its sector and recipient of multiple awards, has a 3-6 months contract requirement for a Finance Project Controller.

Mandatory requirement SAGE and Finance Project Control experience

* Manage the project control process from a Financial aspect/support managers to validate forecasts and Costs to Complete/ explain deviations to Budget

* Ensure that all Financial Documents that are required for the project review process are prepared in a timely manner for Manager, attend Projects Reviews

* Maintain Projects Budget in Sage and ensure margin on Variation Orders are reported correctly

* Provide input on risks, opportunities and claims valuation

* Ensure all team members are fully conversant with the project and implications of new processes.

* Manage cash by following up actual figures and forecasts and follow up the implementation of cash improvement actions

* Establish and manage trading plan, recognise revenue milestones in SAP and ensure appropriate documentary evidence is obtained in line with Accounting and GE Rules

* Close-Out Projects in timely manner

* Provide project KPIs and coordinate with other finance interfaces: controllership, FP&A, CAS, external auditors

Qualifications & Skills:

* Degree or equivalent professional accounting qualification

* Good knowledge of Sage is essential

* Good excel skill and powerpoint is essential

* Good analytical skill is essential
